Abstract

Designed to give a practical approach to standardization for location referencing within a mixed data set environment, where more than one sort of spatial data set exists, and spatial reference between data sets should be made. Applicable to ITS systems which involve mobile vehicles on roads, rails and waterways, together with location references to and from central sites to non-mobile sites, e.g. kiosks, central sites or pedestrians.
