Description / Abstract: This document is DO-260B issued December 2, 2009 with Corrigendum 1 (described above) issued December 13, 2011 included as Appendix W. The Corrigendum is also incorporated throughout the document. This document contains Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for airborne equipment for Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) and Traffic Information Service – Broadcast (TIS-B) utilizing 1090 MHz Mode-S Extended Squitter (1090ES). Compliance with these standards by manufacturers, installers and users is recommended as one means of assuring that the equipment will satisfactorily perform its intended functions under conditions encountered in routine aeronautical operations. This revision supersedes DO-260A and incorporates the earlier Changes 1 and 2. FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) C-166b references this document. The document was developed in parallel with DO-282B.
