Abstract

Defines the high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) conducted environment that is one of the consequences of a high-altitude nuclear explosion. Two cases are considered by those dealing with the subject - high-altitude nuclear explosions and low-altitude nuclear explosions. The aim of this standard is to establish a common reference for the conducted HEMP environment so as to choose realistic stresses to apply to victim equipment to evaluate their performance.
