Abstract

Identifies basic principles which apply to the next generation of digital video cassette recording systems for consumers, for the interest of manufacturers and users. The content, format and recording method of data blocks which form the helical records on the tape holding video, audio and system data are defined and specifications for the 1125-line system with frame frequency 30,00 Hz and the 1250-line system with frame frequency 25,00 Hz.
