Abstract

Sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrogen dioxide in indoor air using a passive sampling treated filter technique. This method is applicable to indoor air in which the expected nitrogen dioxide concentration is within the range 0 to 3 ppm (V/V) (0 to 6000 µg/m(sup)3(/sup)) for an exposure time of 1 h, and has a detection limit of 0.35 ppm for a 2 h sampling period.

Scope

This Standard sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrogen dioxide in indoor air using a passive sampling, treated filter technique. This method is applicable to indoor air in which the expected nitrogen dioxide concentration is within the range 0 to 3 p.p.m. (V/V) (0 to 6 000 mg/m3) for an exposure time of 1 h, and has a detection limit of 0.035 p.p.m. for a 2 h sampling period.
