Abstract

Specifies methods for subjecting a fibre rope to the forces associated with arresting the fall of a dropped mass and for determining the impact strength index for multiple-layer fibre ropes, i.e. ropes with a sheath and core.

Scope

This Standard sets out a method for measuring the impact strength index of fibre rope.
