Scope

This Standard describes the procedure for determining the density of refractory materials of particle size less than 500 ¦m. The method is applicable to material of density greater than 2000 kg/m3but less than 4860 kg/m3.

NOTE: This method may not give the true density, which is determined by the method given in AS 1774.6.
