Abstract

Sets out specific requirements for portable rechargeable fire extinguishers of the wet chemical type.

Scope

This Standard specifies requirements for portable rechargeable fire extinguishers of the wet chemical type.
Some extinguishing agents may be classified by regulatory authorities as being hazardous. In such cases these authorities may require special markings on containers and special precautions to be taken when disposing of the extinguishants and their containers.
