This Ruling is an attempt to clarify and simplify the clauses governing various types of inflation systems and firing devices across multiple models of PFD’s (personal flotation devices). In responding to the queries in this Ruling it became clear that this section of the Standard needs more work in order to achieve that outcome. So the Ruling answers the queries with regard to the current Standard, and a project proposal has been submitted to revise the Standard in question.
