CALCULATING PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES OF PIPE USED AS CASING OR TUBING
American Petroleum Institute
Describes the equations and templates necessary to calculate the various pipe properties, including: a) pipe performance properties, such as axial strength, internal pressure resistance, and collapse resistance; b) minimum physical properties; c) product assembly force (torque); d) product test pressures; e) critical product dimensions related to testing criteria; f) critical dimensions of testing equipment; and g) critical dimensions of test samples.
